This morning, when I got out of bed, I opened the bedroom curtains and viewed a blanket of snow. There were no footprints yet, this was new snow which had fallen through the night. It looked like a winter wonderland, from inside my warm house.

My car was white with the snow and I thought how privileged I was that I Work From Home and did not need to spend quarter of an hour or more, scraping snow and ice from my car ahead of setting out to work, ensuring the windscreen washer was not iced up and could clear the salt from the front window, heating up the inside of the car too, all in readiness for me starting my journey into the office.

Once on the road, I would be met with the snow dance in the car. Keeping fingers crossed that the tyres were going to hold the road and not have me skidding into the path of oncoming vehicles, or brakes not stopping the car because of black ice. No, I am part of the Internet Business, so am free to stay indoors when the snow is falling. I can sit in my snuggly pyjamas and dressing gown, drinking hot chocolate while I undertake those Online Jobs which have appeared overnight and then, when all my neighbours have left and are on their way to work, I can take a rest from the jobs to enjoy the snow.

My family love snowball fights, sledging and building snowmen, so that is what we do. The option to Work From Home gives me this flexibility. I can start work early in the day, take a rest in the middle and then work later in the evening, if that suits my family best. So, free of any feeling of guilt, I park the Online Jobs which I have not yet finished, get dressed in warm clothes, wrap the children up in hats, boots and gloves and out we go.

Two hours later, we are all ready to return to the house having loved our time in the snow. A warm drink and something to eat and it is back to my Internet Business. I can now return to my daily tasks, having been revived by my time playing with the kids. They are able to entertain themselves for a while now to allow me to get on with my jobs, so we are all winners.

Had I not been fortunate enough to Work From Home, I would have probably left my home while it was still dark to drive to the office, then because it is winter and the nights draw in early, it would be dark when I arrived home. I would be promising my children that if the snow was still there at the weekend we could have fun in it together, but there would be no guarantee, of course, that the snow would still be there at the weekend and we would all feel let down.

I, however, could undertake my Internet Business at hours that suit me and my family, so games in the snow, when it is there, and work on those Online Jobs when we are done having fun is a real bonus for us. I love the fact that I am one of the fortunate ones who found a job working from the home, which gives a good living and at the same time allows me the flexibility to enjoy time with my kids whenever we want, and work early hours or late, depending on our current requirements.
