Ultrasound technicians can make up to $117,446 annually working in New York. High school students are beginning to see themselves as successful ultrasound technicians.

Ultrasound qualifications can be quite easy to accomplish in New York, given determination. Ultrasound technicians can start looking for work in New York even without a license. However, for those who wish to acquire a license, passing the licensure exam is a must. On the plus side, better compensation exists for technicians who are license holders.

A CAAHEP accredited education is a big plus for most medical employers. Work in the medical field usually involves a lot of qualification checks, including with ultrasound technicians. CAAHEP accreditation is valued for the high standards they impose on education. CAAHEP accreditation applies to both traditional and online sonography programs.
