You know the scenario! You are travelling on a train, bus or plane and the most annoying person ever is sat beside you, desperate to tell you their whole life history. Why? Just because you happen to be there! They could talk a glass eye to sleep and have come to the conclusion today is your “lucky” day. You grin, make the appropriate noises, give little responses, after all nothing more is necessary, you are their captive audience, and you are desperate to be anywhere else but there.

If, however, you are blessed with the fortune to have a notebook computer, you can get this out, smile politely and let your co-passenger know that you really have to get some work done before a meeting you need to attend, or for evening travelling, work you must catch up on because you have been in meetings all day. They will, more often than not, leave you in peace.

There will still be the odd drunken commuter who thinks you must be fed up, having to work when on your journey, and will decide it is their role to improve the experience for you, but on balance it is better than no laptop at all. If you Work From Home, it may well be that you are required to travel to visit clients, and those hours spent travelling could be ideal for getting work completed, in relative peace and quiet. There are no doubt many Online Jobs which you can catch up with while you ride on the train, perhaps not on a bus or a plane, but other work could be undertaken, in readiness for internet connection at the other end of the trip.

Work From Home does not actually have to mean you are working from your house all the time, it just means that you are not going to an office or business premises every day. An Internet Business could let you work from practically anywhere, so long rides could be seen as something of a bonus – you are sat down, you are not driving, you can dedicate this time totally concentrating on the work in hand. When you get to your destination, you feel you have achieved something worthwhile during the drive.

The joy of working in the Internet Business at a time like this can be wonderful! Starting off on a journey at 6am or getting home after 11pm, knowing you have put in a long day but which has benefited your business, allowing you to maybe have a short day one of the other days of the week to make up for it, great! Those Online Jobs which were stacking up are now all in hand and feel you are now on top of your work.

Maybe you even find time to email your friends, those who you have been intending to get in touch with for some while but there is always a reason why this does not happen. Today is the day to do it. You are there, with your notebook computer. Many travellers sit on the train watching iplayer or similar, just chilling, and it is lovely to see them sitting with their headphones on, chuckling away at some television programme. Work is done. Give yourself a break.
